About the company

Lumbar LLC

is an Estonian forest biomass logistics company founded in 2002. Since 2011 the company’s main focus is the procurement and sale of wood biomass for energy production. Our vision is to become one of the leading companies in our field in Estonia and to promote the use of renewable energy. We aim to provide excellent service to forest owners and bioenergy producers in Estonia and outside.

Lumbar is a privately owned company funded by Estonian capital and linked through owners to leading Estonian forestry companies Combiwood Group and Warmeston Group.

Our production volume in 2020 was ca 600 000 lcbm of fuelwood chips, fully supplied by raw materials of Estonian origin, and this year we are aiming for even further growth. We have our own fleet of machinery to harvest, chip and transport our whole annual production volume.

We have seasonal supply contracts with several leading Estonian bio power plants (Utilitas, Fortum and others) and Warmeston Group pellet mills.

We are looking for long-term partners in export markets to accommodate our growing volumes of fuelwood chips.

Best export ports for us would be Pärnu, Muuga and Virtsu, from where we have experience of storing biomass and loading vessels with volumes up to 11 000 lcm in Pärnu/Virtsu and up to 50000 lcm in Muuga.
